Christa Caputa M.Ed., NCTMB Christa comes to us from Portland, Oregon where she is pursuing a Master's degree in Chinese Medicine. Christa has been practicing massage since 2001 and has been an adult educator for over 15 years. Facilitating others' self-healing has led her to appreciate the essence of "deep tissue" massage, touching someone on a deeper level. Structural bodywork is one of Christa's favorite tools because of the dramatic changes that can occur, including increased range of motion and freedom from being bound. Although she understands that the literal names of structures may fade, she acknowledges the importance of knowing the physiological and anatomical structures that are affected by receiving bodywork. She believes that "it is truly a privilege to touch another person and attempt to help them find balance in this world." A
collector of challenging endeavors, Christa's greatest
accomplishments to date are trekking over Thorung La pass
in the Annapurnas of Nepal and participating in 8 AIDS
bicycle rides including Montreal to Portland, Maine and
Minneapolis to Chicago. |
