CranioSacral Therapy

Dorothy B. Mahrie received her Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP) and A.S. in Holistic Health degrees from the International Professional School of Bodywork (I.P.S.B. College) in San Diego, CA. Specializing in CranioSacral Therapy she has trained with many leaders in the field, such as John Upledger, D.O., O.M.M, (CranioSacral Therapy & Somato Emotional Release) Fritz Smith, M.D. (Zero Balancing) and Suzanne Scurlock-Durana, CMT, (Healing from the Core) as well as studying the works of Hugh Milne, D.O. (Visionary CranioSacral Therapy) and Franklyn Sills (CranioSacral Biodynamics). As a Certified Energy Medicine Practitioner she has studied under Rev. Robert Kirby, (Kinesiology, Bioenergetics, Callahan Technique & Touch for Health) Dr. Kam Yuen (Yuen Energetics) and medicine men and women in and out of the U.S.

Dorothy perfected her skills as both therapist and teacher by assisting Dr. John Upledger, Suzanne Scurlock-Durana and many other CST instructors in entry to advanced level classes throughout the United States. Currently she is the primary CST instructor at IPSB College in Pacific Beach, CA and privately offers entry to advanced classes throughout the United States and Mexico.

Her students describe her teaching style as unique and wonderful. Her keen sense of energetic flow in the classroom helps her keep the teaching ground neutral and energetically calm. In a grounded yet flowing way she covers all learning needs conveying her knowledge and wisdom in an easy to assimilate manner. With a smile and a story she adds to their learning, gently opening their intuition and ability to listen with all their senses. Students leave the classroom feeling confident in themselves and their ability to be good body therapists.

In private practice since 1990, offering hands-on and phone sessions, her skills convey a deep wisdom and love for healing work. As a compassionate and gifted therapist, she facilitates healing on multiple levels by bringing integration to body, mind and spirit.

In her private life, Dorothy is a watercolor artist and offers healing art workshops. One of her favorite workshops is Touch Drawing, a simple hand painting/drawing technique that allows the soul to express itself thru art.
