Anatomy and Physiology Instructor
in Costa Rica! (Samara Beach, Costa Rica)

The Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy (CRSMT) seeks a very
special person to join our staff of prestigious instructors.
The position begins February 2, 2007 and will last for 2 months.
There is potential to teach these classes twice per year for
a total of 4 months annually.
Only qualified and seasoned applicants are considered. Please
apply if you possess the following qualifications!
• Expert knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology, specifically
the musculoskeletal systems of the body.
• US Nationally Certified Massage Therapist or Certification
in other bodywork modality, or health care field relevant to
classes you would teach.
• Able to provide 2 exceptional bodywork sessions per
week to students.
• Qualified to teach a 30 minute movement/yoga class.
• Ability to take topic and deliver core competencies
in a comprehensive and creative way.
• Able to contribute to the development of the curriculum
and follow the curriculum at the prescribed pace in order to
present all the information necessary to the students in a logical,
practical, and concise manner.
• Have current CPR or the ability to acquire it prior
to the beginning of the contract.
• Can acquire international health insurance for duration
of contract and possess a valid passport.
• Healthy, and practice a holistic lifestyle. Non smokers
only please.
• Must have strong ethical boundaries and follow CRSMT
instructor guidelines, and policies.
• Dedicated to holistic self growth.
• Must have teaching experience and have exceptional communication
skills, a sophisticated demeanor, and a charismatic presence.
• Should be able to demonstrate experience with some international
travel, be comfortable and appropriate within different cultures,
and not be bothered by an occasional bug bite, or the sight
of spiders.
• Low maintenance and excited about adventure and the
great outdoors, specifically the jungle/beach environment.
• Able to tolerate a cold shower and power outages as
necessary.
• Should enjoy a healthy diet. Local cuisine includes
beans and rice, fruits and vegetables, and local meats.
• Desire to participate in a cutting edge Study Abroad
Massage Therapy School.
• Ability to live in Costa Rica for two months.
• Ability to prepare in advance.

• Compassionate to students journey
• Adaptable
• Works great under pressure.
• Will go the extra mile.
• Body worker with successful practice for at least 5
years.
• Availability to repeat from term to term is a big plus.
• Spanish language skills are helpful, but not needed.
• Desire to share the wealth of your experience with students.
• Can speak loudly enough to overcome a thunderstorm.
• Does not mind an occasional Monkey, Dog, or Toucan distraction.
The pace of this program is intense for the students. We count
on the instructors to create and hold a grounded calm for the
students, while keeping them motivated and delivering the information
proficiently.
